• Our team of four was tasked by the Fairfax City Government Director of Human Resources to review and improve their policies regarding the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). • Selected to be the team lead and point of contact as we reviewed legal documents and commentary to assess the standards of writing and policy so that we could generate improvements to the existing policy. • In the end, we proposed the addition of a brief glossary to provide clarity in the areas where the legal definition as used by Fairfax City differs from the vagueness that exists within the common use of the word.
