“Openness, collaboration, discipline and performance” is the motto that has driven his career development over the past 22 years.A senior executive, inspiring leader, mentor, operator, integrator, communicator and business lawyer with diversified operational experience focused on operational excellence (OPEX) and achieving results, of which the last 12 years in the service of Sanimax, where he was VP, Operations & CLO for North America. Member of the Executive Committee, he was responsible for 10 plants and some 850 employees. In addition to the plants (manufacturing and maintenance), he also lead the EH&S, Engineering (Process, Designs, R&D, Projects and Automation & Control), Opex and CI, Labs, Quality (QA/QC) & Global purchasing teams. In this capacity, he owns and is accountable for all factories’ P&L while being responsible, with his colleagues, for generating and exceeding expected EBITDA to increase Company’s value. Recognized for his close leadership, empathy, openness and proactivity, he is a change agent, a mobilizer and is appreciated by teams at all levels of the Organization. During his career, he was sent to the districts with the objective to drive OPEX to ensure growth by reaching their full potential in terms of profitability, agility and productivity while ensuring customer and supplier satisfaction together with the development of local leadership. His career path, in two highly regulated areas of activity at all three levels of Government, allowed him to gain a unique experience and understanding of the company’s management and performance, risk management and customer satisfaction. From corporate governance to manufacturing processes and the importance of sound financial management, he is recognized as a result-oriented senior executive and a change agent with strong leadership skills and managerial courage. Recognized for his relational intelligence, he is an unwavering believer in team work and strongly advocates the development of his teams, in a spirit of change sustainability. Prior to Sanimax, he was a business lawyer with one of Canada’s major financial institutions, where he acquired extensive experience in developing, negotiating and drafting of complex trade agreements, mainly in the field of corporate law, securities law (Can, Europe and USA), M&A as well as structured treasury products. In 2012 and 2018, he was chosen as a finalist in the “business strategy attorney” category within the awards program sponsored every second year by ZSA and the daily La Presse.
