Vincent's career in technology began in 1999 in the private sector as a Systems Engineer. In 2005 he made the exciting move to higher education technology at the Yale School of Architecture. After serving as a Systems Engineer at the school for several years, Vincent shifted his focus to leadership within the department.In 2018, Vincent became Director of Advanced Technology, leading a talented team responsible for a wide range of cutting-edge technology initiatives. Their work encompasses everything from IT support and help desk services, to the development and integration of software, classroom technology, instruction and workflow, and 3D printing and digital fabrication operations. As a result, Vincent's team is at the forefront of assessing and adopting emerging technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, 3D scanning, XR, drones, and more.In his current position as Senior Director of Advanced Technology, Vincent is responsible for the strategic direction, operations, and policies of the department. He works closely with the school's administration to ensure that his team's plan and resources align with the school's curriculum and strategic goals. This means that Vincent is constantly looking for innovative ways to improve workflows, instruction, and technology infrastructure.A significant part of his recent work involves assessing the implications of artificial intelligence at the School of Architecture. This involves collaborating with academic experts, staying abreast of the latest AI advancements, and considering how these technologies can be effectively incorporated into the curriculum. He is also exploring how AI can enhance his team's ability to support the school's community, aiming to create a more interconnected, responsive, and innovative environment. Vincent has also been fortunate enough to work on other AI initiatives across Yale.
