Virtue Ventures is a leading and pioneering organization dedicated to empowering social sector practitioners to solve the world’s problems through entrepreneurship, business tools, and sound management practices.As Senior Technical Advisor, I provide mentorship and expert advice in the following areas:o Strategic Planning with focus on institutional strengthening and core financial sustainability.o Business plan development and financial modeling with focus on grassroots livelihood businesses.o Accounting system design and Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEAL) system designs.o Technological and operational assessment leading to process reengineering and implementation.o Training and mentoring sessions around business-related and technology subjects.Recent work performed with grassroots organizations in West Africa:o Managing a successful peer-learning partnership between Indian, Malian and Senegalese organizations to adapt the Indian women self-help group model to Mali and Senegal with to-date over 10,000 women served using this improved model with further expansion planned for 2024 and beyond. o Providing remote ongoing weekly support in operations management using a MEAL approach with weekly activity progress reports and discussions, participatory decisions around adjustments to be performed, additional data to collect or specific engagements with stakeholders, and lessons learned.o Supporting local NGO staff in grant proposal writing, grant management and reporting.o Building capacity of staff in using technology tools for remote communication, data collection and analysis, geo-localization, shared file management and the use of 360 camera for visual data collection.o Mentoring local NGO staff in strengthening external communication strategy via geospatial data visualization, website development and social media presence.o Traveled in-country 2 or 3 times per year. Conducting remote sessions with local staff as needed.

Performed systems analysis, documentation and development on a variety of business applications, including Nasdaq Online, an Internet-based system providing vital information to executives of publicly-listed companies.

Gathered requirements, designed and developed document automation system for the national loan authorization documents used in more than 90% of SBA Loans

Conducted software application training in a classroom environment, from beginner to advanced levels.* Taught a variety of Office Productivity applications (word processing, presentation packages, spreadsheets, databases), Internet-related applications (WWW browsers, Web development, HTML authoring tools) and groupware packages (e-mail, project management, group scheduling, document management).* Interacted with a broad range of end-users from private-sector businesses and government agencies.* Delivered training at client sites throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area, as well as on Future Enterprises' premises in downtown DC.* Took part in the development of training manual and methodologies.

* Coordinated the development and implementation of a proprietary end-user platform under the TSO/ISPF environment (MVS system). This project included user needs analysis, programmer coordination, product testing, development of a training manual and methodology and training for 150+ users in Belgium and Germany.* Re-designed and maintained computer training program on corporate standard applications for all Dow Corning entities in Belgium; and promoted education and training to 200+ users in an international environment.* Re-designed the standard user workstation for Belgium; Contributed to the implementation of a corporate Windows NT-served wide area network; Adapted the corporate standard Windows for Workgroup workstation to European standards.
