I am a junior at Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis, Missouri. I serve as the Photography Editor in Chief of Ladue Publications, consisting of three student-run print publications and a news site. My specialties in photography include news, sports, events, portraits and aerial. I have over five years of photo experience, and I aspire to major in journalism and work in the media industry. I have won awards for my work at the local, state and national level from organizations including St. Louis Public Radio, Indiana University, Missouri Interscholastic Journalism Association, Quill and Scroll, Journalism Education Association and National Scholastic Press Association. I am an expert at using DSLR and mirrorless cameras, as well as off-camera studio lighting. My adept skills reflect into my work as a photojournalist. I use Adobe, DaVinci Resolve and Photo Mechanic in my workflow, which includes multimedia video work. I have exceptional knowledge in journalism laws, ethics and skills and I continually learn and apply knowledge as a highly driven student journalist. I have recently started a personal business that offers photography services to my local community while I learn the ropes of being a good business owner. I also spend time as Public Relations co-Chair for my school's National Honor Society chapter, showcasing members' volunteer work to the local community by taking photos at events and creating social media posts. Lastly, I am a captain on the varsity swim and dive team during the fall season, and volunteer as a manager for the girls team in the winter.
