- Developed an automation framework (Python/Pytest) to be used in testing Ring’s alarm hubs.- Developed a Python package of shared SSH functionality to be used across multiple teams for thedevelopment of test automation.

- Worked as Scrum Master and QA Engineer/Developer for our API Integrations team. In this role I performed the required duties of a Scrum Master as well as manually testing and automating our API and partner integrations. In addition, I took on developer level tasks such as modifying existing API endpoints and making changes to our front-end applications.- Worked with fellow QA Engineers to enhance our QA Automation framework across the organization. This involved a move away from the previous Robot Framework automation to a framework driven by Behave/Python. Five development teams are currently utilizing the framework to execute scheduled jobs to perform regression testing. These teams range from front-end applications to back-end integrations and email delivery functionality.

- Worked with fellow QA Engineers to develop an automation framework from the ground up. The framework is developed utilizing Robot Framework then Behave for Python. Features of the framework include: UI testing, API testing, Email validations. The test suite runs continuously through a Jenkins job and immediately notifies the QA team if there is an issue that needs to be investigated.- Worked with fellow QA Engineers to develop an application (in Python) to decouple our email validations from our UI tests. This allows us to greatly speed up the rate at which our UI and API tests execute as they do not have to wait for emails to be received in order to pass a test. The application takes a job from the UI/API test in a MongoDB collection and searches for the email when the time has arrived (which can be days in certain scenarios).- Helped institute a set of process and procedures to be followed by teams in regards to having QA embedded within the Scrum teams.- Acted as Scrum Master for web application development teams. Tasks involve: leading daily stand-up meetings and running sprint milestone meetings (planning, grooming, retro, demo day)

- Responsible for leading testers in various projects (client enhancements, regular upgrades, automation efforts). Includes giving time estimates around each project for each member of the team as well as coordinating the testing effort and creating the testing artifacts.- Responsible for leading automation effort utilizing IBM Rational Integration Tester. Effort involves accepting new scripts and functionality from Automation Development team and then performing data/functionality changes to allow automation to be run for each of our clients.

- Responsible for leading and coordinating the efforts of the quality assurance team in regards to testing during sprints across all three scrum teams. This included giving time estimates during sprint planning in order to assist in determining the workload brought into the sprint.- Developed and instituted a set of quality assurance procedures and practices to be used for testing in the agile/scrum environment. This included deliverables to be completed and a weekly check-in meeting to assess the progress of the team.- Responsible for leading the development of an automation framework to assist in regression and repetitive testing. Selenium and Rational Functional Tester used for automation.- Responsible for testing in one of the scrum teams and assisting in the other teams when there was an overflow of work.

- Responsible for the design and development of an automated framework (QTP then OpenScript) to use for testing project software. This includes creating and managing function libraries, object repositories, automated scripts, and data tables. Another responsibility is to supply offshore team with tasks and timelines and to structure the tasks in the most efficient way. - Traveled to Hyderabad, India in order to coordinate the automation effort with the team members located overseas.- Responsible for the implementation of Oracle TestManager. Determined a need for a better source of test maintenance and was able to implement the product. Product is now being used for manual test, automated test, and requirement storage. It is also being used for test runs related to new releases.- Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and execution of manual and automated tests. Tests are developed based off of requirements, customer scenarios, and services test cases. Was also responsible in the establishment of new processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of the QA team.

Additional responsibilities include creating and executing manual test cases as well as applying various testing methodologies to the software.

- Worked as part of the Automation team. Primary responsibilities included the creation of functions which are utilized in the creation of test scripts for Liquent products, raising defects against Liquent products, participating in peer reviews, suggesting improvements, and working closely with other parts of the organization. Automation was done using QuickTest Pro and results and manual baseline cases were stored in Quality Center.- Worked on the creation, development, and implementation of a tool to organize the company's automation into one location. The tool was written in VB and helped save the company money by reducing the amount of QuickTest Pro licenses and by helping. In addition the tool made it easier for manual testers to pick up automation, thus reducing the amount of manual testing done.

- Learned various testing tools and methodologies. Was on site at Pep Boys and Merrill Lynch.- At Merrill Lynch - Used HP-Mercury Quality Center and Compuware TestPartner for testing of portfolio trading software. Manual testing and defects were maintained in Quality Center while TestPartner was used to reduce the amount of manual testing and to speed up the testing cycle. Responsibility for most of the automation developed and maintained during time on site.- At Pep Boys - Manual testing was done while on site. Remedy was used to maintain test cases and to track defects. Compuware tools were brought in later on. TestPartner was used to develop automation to assist with regression runs and QADirector was used as a new means to keep track of test cases.
