New Hudson Facades (NHF) is an engineering & manufacturing company that's creating custom curtain wall systems for skyscrapers that are being built all over the country. Our largest project at the moment is the New Hudson Yards project located in Manhatten, NYC. We're also manufacturing the curtain wall systems for several projects in Chicago and California.I serve as a Production Engineer and Crating/Packaging Engineer at NHF. My technical skills in programming & tool suite development have allowed me to automate several internal processes within the Production Department. I've also designed solutions to numerous internal capital projects that have increased our ability to quickly produce our products at record-breaking speed. I take pride in the impact that I've had thus far, and I look forward to future opportunities to help our team achieve even more.Through the use of Autodesk Inventor's and Microsoft Excel's VBA environments, I'm developing tools to automate the generation of 3D shipping crate designs & shop drawings. This allows us to stay ahead of schedule and ensure that we're always prepared to ship our products as soon as they roll off of the assembly line. I'm also exploring other applications of my skills to automate some processes within our Robotics Department.

I started out at New Hudson Facades as a CNC Programmer. Through the use of our CNC machines' 3D programming interface, I created a vast library of machining programs that we use to generate machined aluminum parts. These parts are used in the assembly of our curtain wall units, which we also produce in-house.I also spent some time learning everything about our CNC machines, and I put together various 3D assembly models & tutorial videos of our CNC machines for use in educating our Engineering team about our manufacturing capabilities & limitations. This work has been published internally as a powerful reference resource, and I couldn't be happier in helping everyone gain a better understanding of what we can do together!

The economy took a turn for the worst in 2008, and a nasty recession created a ripple effect that was felt for years. I found myself laid off due to a diminishing work load in the signage industry, so I decided to strike out on my own with my graphics-related background. I found myself having a knack for programming, so I decided to try my hand at Web Design & Development.I worked with various clients over the next few years to create responsive websites. I also dabbled heavily in programming with various languages, like C++, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby, and Ruby On Rails, just to name a few.Here are a few of the websites that I've put together over the years:

During the time that I was exploring the world of Web Design & Development (see above), I also continued to produce shop drawings for various design firms as a part-time gig. I would produce shop drawings for use in fabrication of products & acquisition of permits. I also created design intent drawings for use in standardized product manuals. This work was very deadline-driven, so working efficiently was important. I created my shop drawing packets in a timely fashion to keep my clients' projects on schedule.

I worked part-time at Acme Markets for many years. I took pleasure in helping out the various departments whenever a helping hand was needed. I was involved in stock handling and distribution for the Grocery, General Merchandise, Frozen Foods & Dairy departments. I assisted the Scan Department with the weekly updating of price tags throughout the store. Of course, I also assisted in retail sales, customer service excellence, loss prevention, and credit card transactions.- Operation of registers and self checkout terminals.

Adelphia Graphics Systems (AGS) is a signage manufacturing company that specializes in designing, manufacturing & installing signage systems for use in creating way-finding solutions. AGS produces themed signage systems for numerous hospital companies and universities across the country.During my time at AGS, I took signage design packets from our clients' designers and engineer a manufacturing & installation solution for every type of sign that our client required. This would range from interior signage like hospital personnel directories & bathroom signs, and would also include exterior signage like internally-illuminated directional monoliths and building-mounted channel letter signs.I figured out how we'd build each sign, how we'd install it, and I'd produce shop drawings to reflect my manufacturing solutions. I worked closely with our manufacturing team to ensure that my solutions were feasible. I also worked with teams of licensed engineers to ensure that my solutions would meet the clients' local wind-load engineering requirements. It was also my mission to organize AGS' internal processes so that we always had an accurate record of every product we built.
