Responsible for a Engineering group based in London and Amsterdam. Windows 2000 – Delivery of the Active Directory design and implementation into all key locations, allowing the bank to regionalise the support of the disparate NT 4.0 domains. Intel Hardware standardisation – Managed the RFP \ RFQ process to develop standards and drive down the unit cost of the desktop infrastructure. This was coordinated bank wide and also introduced the use of a “smart index” mechanism to maintain low cost.Systems Management – Implementation of complete end-to-end Enterprise Systems Management solution, with a budget of more than €16M. The framework allowed for operational support to be centralised for management functions on a variety of platforms, including Windows, UNIX, Sun, AS400, Data, Voice and Email.The design also built on HP’s Service Information Portal, which allowed the bank to develop transparency for infrastructure measurements and SLA’s.
