Hello! My name is Vincent Miramontes-Andrade and I am a first-generation college student at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) working to complete my B.A in Speech-Language Pathology with a minor in Gerontology. I am a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity (BUILD) scholar. BUILD is an undergraduate research training program, funded by the NIH, which guides and supports students to pursue a Ph.D. I aspire to become a bilingual speech-language pathologist, helping serve disadvantaged communities. Having once experienced the field, I have a strong interest in returning back to academia as a professor to help teach and mentor upcoming SLP students.
