Created a platform for shared XR experiences. Users in the same real-world location use lightweight wireless VR headsets for a joint experience they can walk around in together. Iterations include a laser-tag style game and a tactical training application.This involved the use of the Unity game engine with some coding magic to allow the headsets to be aware of other players' locations. Everything was coded in C# in a highly optimised way as the platform was designed to be easily integrated into the projects of other experience creators. Some featured include positional awareness, operator "radio", total game-world synchronisation, live event control by operator, virtual operator controlled players and live real world scoreboards and multi camera game views.

Designed and created secure customer facing frontend application in anti-fraud industry using modern web technologies. Managed backend team and architected internal/customer facing API.

Identified inefficiencies in internal operations and conceived, planned and executed solutions including: - Campaign page scanner to verify shipping viability and price information by locale. - Tool to make mass edits to unmanaged campaign pages. - Recursive crawler to identify unused files on server.

Conceived and built multilingual static campaign webpage creation tool; identified a need, then created an elegant solution. - Full stack internally hosted web application complete with intuitive UI, live page section preview and FTP uploading in 4 languages with scope for more. - Greatly improved previously manual workflow and efficiency across teams. - Reduced the need for, and errors created by outsourced page creation teams. - Improved workflow by solidifying specifications for spreadsheet data format that was both machine readable and in line with existing internal practices.Maintained roadmap for complete set of features including CMS functionality and toolset bespoke for Creative & Web Design, Marketing and Merchant Support teams.

Visilit was a startup co founded by myself and two others (James Clifford, C.E.O & Daniel Loftus, C.F.O). The mission centered around empowering technicians in the stage production space with technology to make high quality work more effective. As we continued the journey, the product morphed into a fully browser based 3d web application to help stage designers and production coordinators to effectively visually communicate concepts for a production to related parties, including investors.As a founding member, one of the core team of three, I played a large part in guiding and influencing the strategic direction of the company, including creating pitches with the others and pitching myself, searching for talent to join the team, traveling to trade shows and otherwise supporting the project.Being Chief Technical Officer meant guiding and overseeing the overall technical direction of the product. This included conception and single handed development of the earliest versions of the company's flagship 3d product.Although C.T.O was my official title, the nature of a startup is such that naturally many tasks and roles are split among the founding members with more work being delegated over time as new members as they joined the team.Throughout my time at Visilit I took on many roles, often simultaneously. Many of my responsibilities and achievements in these roles are described below:

◉ Lead Web Application Developer:• Researching tech based possibilities for creating of online stage production planner.• Identifying potential in-browser 3D capabilities for stage production planner • Initial growth and development of stage production planner to a workable web application• Development of 3D editor mainly using three.js: a Javascript-Based 3D framework for Web. Including intricate 3D work.• This project also used HTML5, CSS, JS custom mediator/subscriber framework.◉ Software Development Project Manager:• Creating time sensitive project plans for execution by small development team using PERT analysis, Gantt implementation and task tracking software (asana, smartsheet)• Motivational Team management (Background in NLP).• Guiding development throughout project course.• Dynamic decision making throughout development cycle.This resulted in a fully functioning user role based system based on the Laravel framework, integrating with roles and permissions defined within the JS based 3D environment and UI.

◉ UX / UI Designer:• Designed two entirely customised user interfaces for the online 3D tool. One of these was for 3D editing, and the other for taking clients through virtual tours of 3D environments. The editing version gave different sets of tool to users with various responsibilities for altering the 3D environment.• Online tour UI was completely responsive.• Responsive design was aimed at embedment within other webpages / social media platforms.• The UIs were built using HTML, Javascript, JQuery, JqueryUi and Twitter Bootstrap.◉ Designer / Web designer:• Initial development of company brand image & all related media logo• Creating and developing the website including custom graphics and website icons• Side decks for pitches & related graphicsThe pitches were used in many situations. Results included: •entry to a mentorship program which included use of a shared office space •Gaining investment from the Irish Competitive Start Fund.◉ 3D Artist:• Design and building of 3D models for use as assets in online 3D editor.• Tools include Sketchup, Blender, Maya and AutoCAD.

This startup company aimed to create a live directory of all night events at venues throughout the Dublin City, Ireland and provide an effective marketing platform for promoters of such events.I joined to assist another developer in building the site. Although the content management system was stable, there was much work to be done on the front end. I took on this task. Due to the part time nature of the other developer, I also took on a a role as C.T.O cycling between roles as organiser and team member.• Guiding the overall product development of the system.• Decision of methodologies and technologies to employ to create the web application• Project plan development• Intelligent management of team resources to achieve maximum results, including aiming to build with future evolution in mind.• Backend system design including system architecture with dynamic content mechanisms with a view to rapid development in response to market influence.• Full front end application design including expandable user interface aimed at multiple platforms including mobile.• Development and Implementation of the Citylive web application making use of Html / Css, PHP, Javascript, Jquery and Jquery Mobile• Integration of marketing tools such as promotional and ad spaces as well as provision for targeted content for various market segments.◉ Managing Director:In September 2012, the two initial founders left and I attempted to carry the company forward, bringing it back to the drawing board and addressing some critical issues regarding revenue streams (there were none).
