Downey High School- Facilitates the development and implementation of a school-wide progressive discipline plan, administering restorative practices and leading conflict resolutions.Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of discipline and behavior support programs for students.- Responsible for monitoring student attendance, School Attendance Review Team (SART), and referrals to School Attendance Review Board (SARB); as well as Character Counts and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).- Counsels with students, teachers, and parents/guardians concerning problems of student adjustment to ensure student success in school, and makes referrals for specialized services.- Maintains and enforces school and district rules and regulations, California Administrative and Education Codes, and other applicable laws and regulations.- Works with community groups to foster effective communication, improvement, and understanding of school and district programs.- Collects and analyzes data to evaluate the effectiveness of discipline and behavior support programs.

Implemented a "new technologies" site specific plan, including Google Products (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Sites, Slides, Classroom, Assignments), Nearpod, Flipgrid, Quzilet, Lucidchart, Adobe Products, Anchor.fm, EdPuzzle, and GoFormative across site classrooms; boosted use to over 90% in all classrooms across all subjects (with a 70.90% confidence score amongest 1st time staff usage) and above CUSD proficiency level scores in three areas (Quizlet+7.30%, Classroom +10.84%, and EdPuzzle +12.52%). Plan & lead professional development opportunities for 93 certificated staff members around tech usage in the classroom, including extending opportunities to the CUSD through PBL & tech (monthly presentations). Provide strategic insight into developing site SPSA plan with current administration; achieved 1:1 Chromebook access and full compliance for all DHS Students in 2 years (1950+ Students).

Courses taught: AP Government, Government, Honors Economics, Economics, Entrepreneurship (Business Academy), AP US History, US History, and Speech. Manifesting a wealth of multimedia strategies and technology to transmit information in contemporary and thought-provoking ways through a collaborative classroom website, a personalized YouTube Channel, and multiple Podcast Channels; the goal is to use the SAMR Model and reinvent the way content is exposed and understood by not only substituting endeavors, rather redefining them through applicable and stimulating manners. Producing a dependable environment, fixated on content mastery by establishing and reinforcing clear objectives via PBL & Blended Learning endeavors that align with CCSS and produce maximum student engagement (results show a 97% A-G passing rate across all classes taught).
