- Leading the annual multi-sectoral needs assessment (MSNA) in Syria along the full project cycle, in close coordination with UN-OCHA and humanitarian clusters at Whole-of-Syria level.- Coordinating over 10 partner organizations in operational project implementation for the collection of 5,000+ household surveys. - Directly managing a team of three assessment staff. In addition, lateral coordination of technical and operational specialists across data, geo-spatial, and field departments.- Jan./Feb. 2024: Seconded to Ethiopia office to cover acute staffing needs as interim Research Manager. Return to post as Senior Assessment Officer in Amman in March.

- Spearheading the development of a settlement response plan for over 3000 IDPs. - Implementing capacity building activities for three NGO partner organizations to facilitate the drafting process of the settlement plan and subsequent implementation.- Providing technical backstopping for the IMPACT Syria mission on sampling, data collection, and analysis to ensure research quality.- Assuming responsibilities as Officer in Charge during absences of Head of Unit; supervising 5 staff in Jordan and Syria, coordinating day-to-day unit work-streams. - Liaising with UN-OCHA and UNHCR to strengthen coordination of inter-organizational activities and cooperation among key partners of the humanitarian response in Syria.

- Spearheading IMPACT's Camp Coordination & Camp Management practice in Iraq delivering evidence products informing the humanitarian response on the needs of IDPs in Iraq.- Managing large-sample quantitative research cycles, and coordinating lateral teams of GIS, data, and field specialists.- Liaising with UN OCHA, UNHCR, and IOM as well as non-governmental partners in the Durable Solutions framework to identify evidence gaps and ensure the actionability of IMPACT's research activities and outputs. - Optimizing research outputs for in-camp IDP movement intentions studies to support UNHCR's decision-making.

- Conducting quantitative evaluation research in East Africa to deliver an evidence base for climate-resilient agricultural livelihood interventions: designing research strategies, designing data collection tools, supervising data collection, conducting data cleaning & and analysis, writing client-tailored evaluation reports.- Analysing gendered perceptions and distribution of power related to financial, domestic, and agricultural decision-making within households of rural farming communities in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. - Contributing to Laterite's climate change research practice: developing research tools to measure the relationship between climate change and agricultural livelihoods; integrating geospatial climatic analysis in standard M&E processes.

- Advising the German Ministry for Dev. & Economic Cooperation on the strategic use of evidence in TDA ("Übergangshilfe") with a regional focus on Syria, Iraq, (South) Sudan, and the Sahel.- Developing a pilot process to integrate rigorous impact evaluations into TDA interventions implemented by NGOs. - Creating guidelines to facilitate grant recipients in using empirical/rigorous evidence when designing interventions, aligned with sharpening donor requirements for evidence-based interventions. - Conducting portfolio-level analysis of social cohesion interventions funded by BMZ to enable an evidence-based portfolio steering process.

- Supporting rural sanitation team in planning and executing field visits, prepare briefings and de-briefings, and training local government officials. Using Community-led Total Sanitation methodology. - Contributing to mid-term monitoring household survey for a sanitation programme (results-based financing): training enumerators for tablet-based survey, data preparation & analysis, reporting. Quantitative methods & analysis. - Independently designing field research on the role of traditional leaders in sanitation development: identifying knowledge gaps & designing appropriate methodology, collecting & analysing interview data from five Chiefs, report writing. Qualitative research design.
