I was selected to represent Singapore as a Fellow in the 2023 Community Solutions Program, a year-long leadership development program for community leaders, which included a 4 month work practicum in the United States. I worked directly with the Executive Director of the Jacob A Riis Neighborhood Settlement to: 1. Secure a $52,000 USD city government grant for the organization to implement voter engagement and Participatory Budgeting work2. Designed and facilitated a full-day staff retreat for Senior Leadership to translate their 5-year strategic plan into an actionable dashboard using the Objectives, Key Results (OKR) framework.

In 2020, I helped incorporate A Good Space as Singapore’s first co-operative to intentionally broker collaboration amongst 34 changemakers to create projects with greater social impact. Some highlights of my work include: 1. Partnership Building - Formed 21 partnerships with government agencies, schools, corporates and non-profits to help advance the objectives of the co-op’s changemakers2. Multi-Sector Citizen Engagement - Conceptualized, designed and facilitated two Listening Living Labs over 2 years, gathering 168 citizens to work alongside multi-sector stakeholders to prototype 6 ideas - 3 to improve the lives of migrant workers and 3 to improve digital inclusion for low-income families living in public rental flats3. Business Development & Fundraising - Generated $252,863 in revenue from providing workshops and consulting services to schools and corporates and $68,263 in grants to sustain the co-op’s operations and continue its social impact work

A Good Space was a community initiative funded by a government agency to nurture active citizens by transforming unused spaces into places where they could organize activities for social good. Some highlights of my work here include: 1. Community Building - Nurtured a community of 92 diverse changemakers across 11 social issues, designing intentional programs to deepen collaboration and facilitate sharing of resources and ideas amongst them to do good, together.2. Event Curation and Management - Curated 334 events and projects that inspired 7,676 participants to cultivate empathy towards different social issues and start their own social projects

Street Smart University started off when we saw a huge gap in our education system in Singapore - our schools were not equipping students with practical skills essential for happiness and success in life. Starting off as a mobile and web platform of video courses (similar to TED), we eventually pivoted into hosting live personal growth workshops, bringing coaches in entrepreneurship, wealth, relationships and confidence into Singapore, with the vision of creating positive changes in the lives of thousands of people across South East Asia by equpping them with practical skills to achieve success, skills that can be passed on to future generations and their community. In my role of Operations, I conceptualized and implemented marketing campaigns to fill the workshops, growing the company from scratch to $150,000 in revenue. I also planned and implemented a marketing strategy to launch the Street Smart University mobile and web application, culminating in a launch event attended by over 120 supporters where the web application was officially launched.

In this role, I crafted proposals for this project to be supported by the SG50 Celebratory Fund. This was a video interview series featuring 10 of Singapore's most successful women across various fields to discover exactly how they got to where they are today, with the intention of sharing this knowledge to encourage and inspire more women in Singapore to be successful in their personal and professional lives. Women interviewed include Elim Chew, Wong Li-Lin and Joscelin Yeo. I planned and implemented digital marketing campaigns to attract 150 women to the Launch Event and over 10,000 combined impressions for the video series.
