Financial Consultant IFC/World Bank - part of the Efficient Securities Markets Institutional Development - ESMID team engaged in various projects aimed at enhancing Financial Inclusion in Africa.Lead consultant contracted to structure and design a framework (end to end flow, pricing etc) that would enable sale of government securities (treasury bills at the time - dubbed "Treasury Mobile Direct - TMD") to the retail space via the mobile phone. I worked very closely with the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), Capital Markets Authority (CMA), Central Depository & Settlement Corporation (CDSC), Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and settlement banks.
