Looking forward to my new position as a program manager and technical project manager for BSIS.

During my time at TREX I was a Deputy Project Manager working with Infrastructure, Operational, and Application teams on large-scale migration and modernization efforts for the Census Bureau’s 2020 Census. In this role (Technical Project Management/Account Manager) I was responsible for client relationships and application accounts as well as service-level agreements. I provided leadership, oversight, and hands-on tactical support for mission-critical enterprise projects, systems, and services.

At NCI, I was a senior manager on the Agile Delivery Team with a strong focus on requirements traceability using lightweight and effective management practices. Daily responsibilities included leading multiple client teams, delivering high-quality and timely IT support, services, and software without sacrificing process, policy, procedure, and documentation.

At Aquilent, I led a DevOps team that included Application Development (25 FTEs), Security (2.5 FTEs), and the DevOps team (12 FTEs). Primary responsibilities included creating strategic roadmaps, improving communications across matrixed teams, scheduling, requirements traceability, and risk reporting in a fast-paced enterprise environment.Responsible for enterprise Atlassian tools sets (Jira, Confluence, Crowd, HipChat) as well as monitoring tools (NewRelic/Splunk) within AWS.

A Senior Lead Technologist demonstrates specialized expertise in engineering, technology, or sciences with a proven track record of independently developing technical solutions. They independently scope and perform challenging tasks involving leading-edge or in-demand technology or concepts. They lead technical projects within budget and contract parameters and reviews technical solutions and/or data for quality control and risk management issues. Senior Lead Technologists are Subject Matter Experts and contribute to the development of intellectual capital, proposals, or marketing efforts in area(s) of expertise. They serve as a Career Manager to communicate Account strategy, manage staff billability, and support performance feedback, career development, staff engagement and retention, and mobility of diverse talent. They lead others to design and develop technical plans for deployment of new applications, products, or solutions.

Lead Associates are advanced consultants and capability experts who excel at client delivery. Lead associates often develop a reputation within the firm, the industry, and among their clients for their expertise in a specific capability area. They take a leadership role in generating intellectual capital in order to help the firm grow its business. They are highly valued by their clients for their knowledge and trusted advice – interacting directly with senior-level clients. They are developing competency in project and financial management and becoming more involved in managing teams and formulating business strategies. As project managers, they guide the progress of projects while mentoring junior staff in both firm and technical competencies.

Associates are seen as problem solvers. The team looks to them for possible solutions to complex or ambiguous client challenges. Applying their advanced consulting skills and strong capability expertise, they are able to define the scope and appropriate approach to a new assignment – breaking down the project into defined tasks and sometimes assigning the work to a team of others whom they oversee. Associates share their knowledge with junior team members and often serve as mentors. They often contribute to studies and proposals and may be involved in generating intellectual capital. They build and maintain trusted relationships with mid-level clients.

Senior Consultants are critical members of the engagement team. They apply their developing consulting skills and expertise to deliver high-quality work products to support projects. They may also guide the activities of others on a set of defined tasks. Their assignments offer ever-increasing levels of responsibility and client interaction, while enabling them to deepen their capability expertise. They are expected to prioritize their deliverables and work independently with little guidance. They are empowered to offer solutions and new ideas and to identify opportunities to grow existing business or support firm-wide initiatives. Senior Consultants interact regularly with clients and may be called upon to present work products to clients.
