As a leader of the R&D team, I worked on the design and development of new products for the semiconductor industry. Main activities include new developments related to wafer mapping systems and in-situ monitoring systems for wafer process control. I was dealing with systems requiring good knowledge in optical metrology, sensor data acquisition, laser, embedded system, software design, and algorithms development. From customer’s requirements, we were proposing and realizing complex systems where I was actively involved in in the following tasks: • Customer requirements analysis• Translating customers’ requirements into system requirements• Participate to systems design (systems architecture, components, interfaces, data)• Rapid prototyping to simulate and validate new concepts• Software applications development (multi-thread C++ MFC application). • Test, validation, debugging and performances optimization of the system • Test, debug and validation of the electronics development by the R&D team• Driver development to interface hardware with application software • Embedded firmware development (C/C++)• Article redaction• User’s manual redaction• Development of algorithms for real-time data analysis.

Managing projects related to optical devices allowing non-invasive in-vivo imaging on small animals. Main achievement is the realization of the optical QOS™ scanner, an optical (fluorescence / bioluminescence) scanner dedicated for the pre-clinical imaging. Below is a list of the tasks accomplished: • Translate functional needs of biologists into technical solutions• Design of imaging systems• Optical conception of imaging systems• Development of motion control system (PLC programming)• Development of an algorithm to move the camera to the same position over the animal between each session.• Team coordination, time management, negotiations with suppliers, budgeting• Evaluation and compliance of UL standards

Assisting students during laboratory sessions dealing with the interfacing and programming of microcontrollers (PIC, DSP). Main objective was to teach basic notions of digital signal processing using a platform based on the DSP “TMS320C5402” of Texas Instruments.
