I am a computer vision researcher with a focus on 3d scene representations. Specifically, I am researching how we can distill pictures of a scene into a representation that is accessible to machine learning algorithms, to solve problems such as scene reconstruction, novel view synthesis, scene understanding, etc. My day-to-day tools are deep learning, optimization, as well as multi-view and projective geometry.In another line of research, I am interested in end-to-end optimization of cameras for the joint design of algorithms and hardware for true task-specific sensors.
