Vincent is Fellow van de Cybernetics Society, lid van de Society for Complexity in Organisations (SCiO), bestuurslid van de interessegroep in oprichting Systeemdenken van het KNVI, voormalig voorzitter van Sociocracy for All en voormalig lid van DAA, UPA, ACM en FPA. Hij studeerde geschiedenis en politiek in Leiden, Berlijn en Aix-en-Provence (1997, magna cum laude).
