Served onboard USS HADDO (SSN 604) home-ported in San Diego, CA and Qualified in Submarines, Sonar Passive Broadband Operator, Helm/Planesman, Lookout, Below Decks Watch, Nuclear Weapons Security Guard, Petty Officer of the Deck, and Duty Radioman . Ship’s Office recognized as “the best in the Squadron. ” At Naval Nuclear Power School (NNPS) responsible for all student training documentation, transferring and gaining Officer and Enlisted classes, staff/student muster reports, Staff Yeoman training and receipt of four consecutive annual “Certified Pipeline Mover Awards.” At Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Naval Test Unit/FBM Operational Test Support Unit Two as Personnel Officer responsible for all associated administrative and personnel functions. First Petty Officer to qualify and stand Command Duty Officer and Chief of the Watch; as Officer-in-Charge during a four month deployment solely responsible for the entire Navy Detachment onboard. At Recruit Training Command (RTC) as a Recruit Company Commander (training new Sailors) responsible for; military training, administration, discipline, morale and welfare of approximately 80 recruits per company. Designated “Master Training Specialist,” and led four highly motivated Recruit Companies through eight weeks of demanding training, each graduating at the top of their respective training groups.
