RECREWIT is a specialist recruitment consultancy operating in the engineering industry, focused on delivering first-class customer service to candidates and clients.We recruit and consult across four key sectors:Aviation, Automotive & Motorsport, Marine, and Renewables.I am mainly involved with any administrative matter involving the management of the company and I also assist some of our clients directly.

I have graduated from the VHR Academy to become a successful Technical Recruitment Consultant. My BA in Economics and my MA in Business & Governance - as well as the previous experience within the Finance and Compliance Departments, along with my great passion for the Aviation, Automotive and Marine industries - have been instrumental for me to develop a successful career path within recruitment, always trying to provide the highest technical service possible.With couple of internal promotions along the way (I was promoted in all the Departments, starting from the internship in Finance), I have proven my value within an extremely competitive environment such as VHR’s sales floor, consolidating a billing of 10K average per month in the last 6 months prior my departure.I was fully responsible for my clients, being able to deal with them for any commercial matter, as well as to help them directly for contracts and/or payments-related matters.Moreover, I was responsible for the management of VHR’s personnel that used to be allocated to the jobs I used to bring in through my clients.

I took part in an ambitious project that VHR started in 2017: VHR training academy. Substantially, I was asked to move fully into the Sales Department with a very clear path ahead of me, that would have potentially leaded to a career in Business Development or Account Management.This has been a great time for me to learn the basis of the recruitment process and build my knowledge within our core industries.I have learnt a lot in terms of commercial awareness and developed a deep knowledge of the recruitment industry, as well as developed crucial soft skills, such as a very good way of organizing my work independently and a high attention to details, instrumental for my next steps.

Due to the departure of the only Italian speaker on the Sales floor, I was asked to assist a Senior member of the Sales Department, helping VHR to maintain relationship with our customers in Italy, as well as our Italian candidates in the process, so, for a few months, I have been working across the Compliance and the Sales Departments giving my very best to keep up with everything.During this period of transition (since I then moved to Sales), I have been able to manage my workload perfectly and I also gained a big new Client within the Automotive Industry.

As Compliance Assistant I have been dealing with due diligence in general and with a huge workload of contracts to be issued and sent to our Clients. Moreover, due to my background and previous experience in Finance, I have contributed to a massive project together with a Senior member of the Compliance Department and with the company management, designing solutions for countries where we didn't operate previously, or improving (when possible) the scheme currently in use.

Since I was promoted to the Finance Assistant role, I was assigned some clients and I started dealing directly with them, autonomously, being responsible for processing payroll and raising invoices related to those specific accounts (I was assigned one of the 3 top clients, due to the fact that I was the only Italian speaking in the Finance Dept; this was instrumental to my professional growth). Moreover, I was responsible for managing almost all the supplier invoices for our offices in UK and Middle East, recharge expenses to several clients and suppliers, pay staff expenses and deal with any contractors and client queries. I was moreover asked to work close to a Senior figure within the company, helping in Credit Control, raising contractors’ contracts and implementing a new expense system for our company.

During this time, I was mainly involved in checking timesheets and contractors record, whilst shadowing a senior member of the staff dealing with the payroll. I was moreover involved with bank/petty cash reconciliations, as well as matching invoices and payments on our accounting software (QuickBooks) and uploading/checking expenses, processing them on our payroll software (Merit). The highlight of the Intern, which was surely one of the reason I was hired afterwards is that I have been working on a project I proposed to our Senior Accountant: I have been analysing our company performances since 2010 in order to get a clearer picture of the main revenue streams throughout the year, suggesting to reactivate old accounts which were making money to the company in the past and reducing the dependence on the main customers in order to reduce the risk related to one or more of them not buying anymore. This helped us to also formulate more accurate forecasts about future cash flows.
