Starting as a member, I was elected to the Executive Board in 2020. I focus my expertise on Marketing and Communications for the Association. I oversee our social media platforms and reimagined and implemented a new website. Using these platforms, I began a Marketing campaign to recruit members and expand our reach from the immediate town of East Haddam to a more regional view. As a result, EHBA is seeing unprecedented growth in the past 8 months.Additionally, I lend my educational expertise to lead our Scholarship Program. EHBA provides a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior in our local community pursuing a college degree, vocational, or trade school study in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or other entrepreneurial studies. The application and interview process is competitive, only one scholarship a year is awarded, and the winner is announced at an awards ceremony at the student's High School. I facilitate various B2B Networking events, a Business Expo, and "Celebrate East Haddam," a local family friendly community fair, complete with entertainment, food, and vendors, most of whom are EHBA member businesses, to sell their wares or services. Public outreach program that taught healthy living choices to kindergarten through college-aged students. As part of this internship, I developed “Project REACH-out;” a program that educated students on issues of drug and alcohol use, sexual awareness, healthy decision making, and goal setting.
