Software Architect on the development of the cloud based reporting and monitoring solution www.reportloq.com for waste incinerators and large combustion plants. This enables our customers to view their data everywhere, after deploying them real-time into the cloud. We offer them a full package solution including data collection, average calculations, trending and much more. ReportLoq has currently collected more than 4.000.000.000 measurements from analyzers all over the world.This job involves designing and scaling applications, servers and infrastructures. It includes - Java and C# development for webservers and Controllers- Secure communication using cryptography- Database setup using SQL and JPA2- Webserver setup and deployment using Glassfish and Jetty- Automatic testing and quality control using JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, Cobertura with Jenkins CI doing more than 180.000 tests- Monitoring hardware and software performance and health to act upon errors and foresee problems before they occur. Our setup enables us to quickly develop reliable applications saving time and money for everyone!

Designed a full scaled CI-Development environment using Hudson.This environment supported:- Several developers- Ensured stability though automated testing at every Commit to SVN- Created detailed test reports with screenshots for quick problem solving- Parallel virtual test environments ensured safe "Live" deployments- Branching and Tagging for parallel development- Fully automated nightly deployments- Cluster setup for horizontal scaling of web-servers- Complete automated surveillanceMy role in this task was not only to design the system, but also to build it. I bought and installed a physical host for virtual servers, installed the servers and all required software. Developed the bridges to tie them together and implemented the usage of it all in the company. This setup supported our daily development cycle, testing code and revealing errors long before the code reached our customers and users. The nightly deployments keeping developers up at night were replaced by a self developed and stable deployment tool, that took care of the entire process. Starting with "Were sorry, the system is down" sign, taking database dumps, doing SQL updates, deployments application on several web servers and handling error situations.
