As an electrical engineer and amateur physicist, I am passionate about leveraging technology to bring positive change to human life. I am very optimistic about the future and firmly believe that most of the problems we face today can be solved through technological advancementsI am experienced in first principal modelling and using discrete event modelling tools to simulate underground electric fleets and develop electrification strategies. I believe we can simplify the mining electrification problem by system redesign thinking. With this approach, we can achieve a step-change improvement in energy efficiency, reduce the battery size, 3 to 4x improvement in battery life and enable the use of productivity benefits that come with electrification to offset the capex involved. Bringing the power of electrification and economy of scale to mining enables step-change improvement compared to traditional systems. Currently, I am working on multiple projects to enable this.On the digital front, I have used 'Simio' discrete event modelling tool for de-bottlenecking the operation of a complex open pit mine. Mining is highly variable and dynamic discrete event modelling tools enable us to embrace this variability rather than working against it. Modern simulation software enables us to simulate extremely close to the real world. Combining simulation modelling capabilities ToC and LEAN concepts can bring step change improvement in terms of productivity and open avenues to rethink mining process to enhance safety and productivity.During my leisure time, I enjoy travelling, reading, and cross-domain learning.
