Projects : Automatic Cloud Infrastructure -A project that optimizes the overall up time of cloud virtual machines needed for commvault processes. The VMs are started on-demand and brought down on meeting an idle criteria. The goal was to reduce the costs incurred by customer in running compute/storage on cloud.

Actively involved in project design and team managementProjects :- Scaleout Storage/Software Defined Storage - The feature allows creating disk libraries on top of a Gluster file system. The customer can expand the storage by adding more hard disks when needed.Tape Cloning - Designed and implemented a feature that allows customer to clone an existing tape media. The feature is useful when the customer wants to migrate from an older to newer tape technology.Library Sharing Across Production & Test Environments - The feature that allows customer to use a large tape library across two different commcells. Each commcell leases out the drives in the library on-demand basis.

Senior Engineer in Media Management Team that owns the critical subsystems for backups,restores,deduplication and snapshot technology. I am the sole owner of a server that manages tape libraries, snapshot arrays and server side deduplication. Projects : - Co-designed and developed a file transfer framework used to transfer deduplication databases across the network. Solved problems associated with bringing a high availability deduplication database offline,move it to a different server and restore its functionality.- The above file transfer framework was extended to move large magnetic disk libraries across the network.- Migrated media management subsystems to a new networking model in Commvault Simpana V11 version.- Works on XML and XDR mode of communication between applications across the network.Other responsibilities in team : - Resource for handling critical customer issues that require a quick turnaround.- Design and code reviewer.- Mentored entry level developers into engineers.- Conducts brown bag sessions on different subsystems on the product and the technology stack used.
