Associate Director Of Finance - Away From Home BusinessThe Kraft Heinz Company Feb 2019 - Jun 2022Chicago, Il, UsI was responsible for the finance team of 6 people supporting the Field and Non-Commercial channels in the Foodservice business.My scope included ~$1.2bi in annual net sales, across more than 2.000 products shipped through ~1.500 distributors in the USA.By partnering with the Head of the Channel and Sales/Marketing directors, I was able to experience and influence several contract negotiations and develop rituals and routines to manage over 100 people in our sales organization.Some of my main contributions were:- I led a group of finance/accounting professionals to develop and implement a method to calculate customer/product-level P&L more accurately, leading to enhanced financial clarity and superior decision making for the business. - I developed a detailed plan and supported it's execution to achieve over additional $85M (~12%) annual price increase on fixed-price contracts to offset inflation and margin compression, in a competitive foodservice/culinary market - I took over responsibility over a poorly performing price quotation system and promptly identified main issues by applying root-cause analysis. Then successfully led a cross functional team to develop and implement solutions to each root-cause issue identified and significantly improved performance, bringing average time to approve prices from 30+ to 5 days and allowing faster response to 140+ sales people across the USA -

Several Positions In The Finance OrganizationAmerica Latina Logistica Jan 2011 - Jun 2014Curitiba, BrLargest railway company in Latin America, with ~$1.5bi annual sales, providing intermodal logistics services in Brazil. I started as a Trainee and grew in the organization over 3.5 years, taking different roles in the Finance department and also leading some of them. I was able to develop skills in several finance areas, including FP&A, Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Valuation, Financial Modeling, and Investors Relations. Among my main achievements, I’d highlight: - I developed a complex financial model with P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet actuals and projections to run monthly reporting of the Financial Planning & Analysis team. It required a detailed study and understanding of the company's public financial reports, given its complex financing, covenants and cash flow structure. The outcome was better visibility of profitability, cash flow and leverage metrics and ultimately better decision making by the leadership team - Also developed a comprehensive financial model to evaluate railroad investments in Brazil, with scenario/sensitivity analysis, financing structure, return metrics and valuation. It required careful, detailed understanding and collaboration with multiple technical experts to translate railroad operational metrics into financial projections. Allowed for better negotiation with the Brazilian government within a massive infrastructure investment plan.
