In this role, I primarily:-Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified teachers and staff.-Conduct thorough interviews, assessments, and reference checks to ensure candidates meet the school’s high standards.-Collaborate with school leadership to understand staffing needs and align recruitment efforts with the school’s mission and goals.-Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from posting job openings to onboarding new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all candidates.

In this role, I primarily:-Teach English to native Portuguese and Spanish speakers.-Develop lessons for the school.-Train and evaluate other teachers.-Coach and train students when preparing for an interview.-Conduct resume workshops to edit student resumes.

-Work with communication professors in creating lesson plans.-Facilitate student discussion and learning through interactive methods in Zoom.-Grade and create quizzes and tests.-Support students with any difficulty they may have during the course of the semester.

My responsibilities are: assisting with Office of Sustainability and Department of Environmental Safety, Sustainability and Risk communications and marketing efforts; creating and updating content for our website and social media; pitching story ideas to highlight campus sustainability; interviewing University of Maryland students, faculty, and staff to showcase campus sustainability efforts; taking pictures for the office’s website and social media; writing stories about campus sustainability; helping and facilitating the creation of videos about sustainability efforts on campus; assisting with general communications and marketing planning for the department.
