Business Intelligence Coordinator
CurrentI lead a team of 2 BI analysts and 2 data engineers.The engineers are responsible for building and maintaining the data pipelines and warehouse.The analysts are responsible for creating data visualizations, analytics, and performing training.The team is dedicated to these work fronts:1. Data Pipeline, and Operations: Extract: pull data from several data sources, looking at format, frequency, and time frame; Transform: clean up, structure, and integrate data; Load: load data into the data warehouse, defining frequency, import type and format; Quality: make sure the data ingested is correct and frequently updated; Improve and adjust data sets; Sustain the DW environment;2. Data Visualization: Build dashboards and other data visualizations; Understand business users; Understand job responsibilities, goals, and objectives; Determine the decisions that the business users want to make; Make user interfaces simple and template-driven;3. Data Analytics: Produce analysis connected to relevant business problems; Deliver high-quality, relevant, and accessible information and analytics to the business users; Choose the most robust, actionable data to present in BI;4. Data Training & Culture: Promote trainings, analytics methods, and tools; Find new users and make them aware of the BI capabilities; Form key data users in each business area;Our tech stack relies on Amazon's services (S3, RDS, and EC2) for data operations. We use Pentaho for data transformation and Power BI for data visualization.The project management in my team follows a Scrum routine with two-week sprints, including planning and daily meetings. We use Azure DevOps to support our Scrum routine.
