Co-founder/CFO of Tactile Systems, a start-up developing a tactile sensing device to be embedded into prosthetics to design a better fitting prosthesis for amputees. We competed in the Michigan Business Chellenge, a competition that includes $100,000 in prize money, and won third place in the innovation track. We also won the Dare to Dream grant through the Zell Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Activities and are developing our product while acquiring our patent.

I teach a class for the Research Scholars Program - a class to support upperclassmen conducting research who want to get published. This involves leading bi-weekly seminars for 20 students, grading and providing feedback on all assignments, working closely with other advisors to adapt the curriculum and teaching methods, to ensure all students fully comprehend the taught curriculum. I assess my students progress throughout the term and provide support to students through office hours, aiding all of my students to publish their research conducted. As a past participant in the program, I wrote an independent research paper identifying effects on stock value for over 200 for-profit biotechnology firms during litigations against non-profits. I explored what factors play a part when investors are speculating for abnormal returns, such as their social responsibility, their prediction for the outcome of the litigation, etc.

My projects involved consulting organizations on campus to restructure their finances, finding funding through grants and sponsors. I led an analysis of the energy costs of Music Matters, an organization on campus, in order to save energy consumption and energy costs and engaging in energy audits eventually restructuring and raising $10,000 while saving 30% energy consumption, and the event was the largest zero-waste event at the University of Michigan. I was also on the team that planned, wrote the case and led the annual Sanger Leadership Crisis. I also engage in weekly workshops exploring the intersection of social impact/sustainability and business.

I utilize comparable analyses, industry trends, earnings projections, and company financial information to make well-informed recommendations. I led a team of five in pitching JD, TJX and PEP in the Consumers sector through DCF model analysis and comparables, resulting in a 15% increase in portfolio value.Our club manages an investment portfolio of $12,000, presenting findings to 40 members in form of stock pitches, portfolio updates, and market updates. As the Finance VP, I consolidated all our holdings and was responsible for executing the trades the club votes and approves of. I was also responsible for giving weekly portfolio updates and guiding the pitching schedule to ensure our portfolio was adequately divesified.

Revived a dying club from 3 members to 20 members. We organize and celebrate Indian festivals, and create a tight-knit community celebrating the Indian culture. I delegated tasks and specifically oversaw the finance team and secured funding of over $10,000 alongside coordinating with other organizations to organize 4-5 large events annually as well as 4-5 smaller club events, with our biggest event attracting over 1500 students.

I participated in the Denver Access Opportunity to practice leadership skills and shadow the VP of foodservices for Pepsico to learn more about leadership and finance. I was also awarded the Global Internship Award and have received several grants in excess of $10,000.BLI is a campus-wide fellowship of emerging student leaders and supports additional leadership and social activities designed by faculty and students. I participated in a leadership lab to develop my knowledge and leadership skills through working with a team of 5 to build a website to compile resources for immigrants on campus, drawing over 180 new volunteers to refugee centers.

Sponsored to travel to London as a FinTech Academic Consultant for Simudyne. They covered most of the costs involved in the trip. This was supplemented with taking a course on understanding the FinTech space.

I worked with a team of 6 members including 4 MBA students to develop an $8 million expansion strategy for the Charles H Wright Museum to enhance footfall and maximize impact on society. I was responsible for communicating with the client and working with other stakeholders in order to conduct thorough market analysis, alongside developing client-faced skills. Our team won 3rd place in a MBA consulting case competition by PwC.

I was placed on the Global Intelligence team in the Forensics Division. I executed Integrity Due Diligence (IDD) to build profiles of targets, verify claims, participate in client meetings and contribute to writing 7 IDD reports for clients. I also learnt how to acquire financial documents and calculated enterprise value, free cash flow, and other metrics, generating necessary data for due diligence on companies, as well as developed a long-term strategy by conducting research in Forensics industry, speaking with industry experts, following relevant industry news and researching potential acquisitions for department, recommending $11 Million USD startup to acquire.

Through the Research Scholars Program, I conduct my own student-led research project on exploring the effects on the stock value for a for-profit biotechnology firm when involved in a litigation against a non-profit or individual. I am examining the Socially Responsible Investor (SRI) and their impact in manipulating the abnormal returns, investigating factors such as their predictions for the outcome the litigation, their influencing power, etc.

MCSP is a living-learning community dedicated towards social justice and community service. I frequently engage in volunteering, communnity building and advocacy activities.I lead volunteering activities bi-weekly and work with a team of 7 in a high paced environment to facilitate discussions on social justice topics and organize diversity events for over 200 students in order to be a social justice advocate and contribute to society.

I was responsible for the development of an urban e-mobility solution at a start-up focused on building swappable vehicle batteries and battery swapping stations for Electric Vehicles. I conducted research on potential joint ventures and collaborations, competition’s product specifications, and created two consumer insight studies to aide decision making and joint venture with the Indian Government and Ashok Leyland, the largest commercial vehicle manufacturer in India. Also built financial models on E-Taxi Leasing Plan, Charging Station Plan and Asset Light Model to provide product strategy recommendation and product pricing recommendations which are adopted. I gained a lot of experience working at a start-up

I assist in research on "Estimating the Effects of the Fiscal Policy". Along with a research mentor, we evaluate the short and long term effects of changes in Fiscal Policy while keeping other factors constant by looking at past data on measurable factors such as GDP, CPI, Unemployment rate, etc.

Train international GSI (Graduate Student Instructors) on their English skills and provide them consulting services to receive feedback and improve upon their teaching skills.

for Labor Laws and Social Compliance. Economics in Motion is an annual conference hosted at the University of Michigan. In addition to being an excellent networking opportunity, this conference presents students with the opportunity to experience the role of international delegates through a simulation of global negotiations.

Worked at the head office in the Operations department for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) for 6 weeks. Assisted in many areas such as preparing letters for campaigns, LIC, etc, reconciliation of interest rates, updating the internal systems, etc.

A 14 days Internship programme where teams of 6 worked on all aspects of a business plan, from conceptualizing to finance to marketing, for developing a business plan to finally present to a group of investors their plan. There were a lot of speeches from CEO's of successful companies, teaching and inspiring us for our business plan.
