Developing, implementing, and oversight of Ciena's Supplier Risk Management Strategy.

In this role, I have the ownership of MD’s non-material vendor relationships with a focus on strategic and cost management objectives. I oversee the planning, development, and implementation for corporate procurement and purchasing policies, including end-to-end vendor lifecycle management, including socializing documented processes and operating procedures.

Managing moderate to complex vendor agreements with an emphasis on business risk factors, serving as the primary liaison between internal/external stakeholders and various control functions within the organization.

In my role as a Vendor Manager, my responsibilities have included identifying and mitigating supplier risk, while maximizing supplier performance and value; and working with procurement teams to onboard new vendors. In addition, I assisted with Integration of the TD Vendor Management model and outsourcing policy to existing vendors, identifying and mitigating supplier risk while maximizing supplier performance and assisting with the payment platform transition from Oracle to Ariba.
