I am currently working as a Peer Employment Specialist for the NHS working alongside clinicians in a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) helping people who want to get into paid employment. and supporting those in work but at risk. My role involves networking with employers building relationships to access vacancies and assessing people's skills and job goals to help them get into the best possible careers. Prior to this I was/am a qualified Probation Officer having completed the Community Justice Diploma equivalent to a Master's degree. I was employed by the National Probation Service for 9+ years and have extensive experience in working with a large caseload (40+cases) of different high risk service users each with individual risk management needs. Examples would include youth offenders, elderly service users with disabilities and those with mental health difficulties. I am used to working within a team to formulate risk management plans ensuring the best course of action for each individual.
