Vinny Sakore is a former CTO of two Health IT companies and joined Verizon and ICSA Labs in 2011. He currently serves as Verizon’s HIPAA Security Officer.Mr. Sakore obtained his executive MBA from the Jack Welch School at Strayer University. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from Penn State University. He is an active member of both the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS). He speaks nationally and internationally on topics ranging from Cyber Risk, Cloud Security, and HIPAA Security. Recently he has presented at Net Diligence Cyber Risk conferences, RIMS 2015, HIMSS, mHealth and the ISF World Congress.

Much of the work performed for the federal government out of NPC’s 200,000 square foot manufacturing facility involves sensitive and confidential information of many federal government agencies.Immersion was established by NPC in August 2008 to offer a comprehensive data breach response service –which is “powered” by the printing, inserting and mailing capabilities of NPC.

MT Platinum was a Software as a Service (SAAS) provider to hospitals and medical transcription services. The company was formed by purchasing the assets of MT Audit and forming a strategic Value Added Reseller (VAR) relationship with 3M. I was an active member of the team that negotiated the VAR with 3M, raised capital and launched the company.

As the VP & Chief Technology Officer of MT Audit I managed the software products and professional services we provided to Hospitals, MTSO's and Healthcare organizations. I had the pleasure of working with groups such as UPMC, IASIS, HCA, Dictaphone and Adventist Health West.

Member of the original leadership team that launched Opti-Script in 1995. During my career at Opti-Script I served as the company's IT Director, COO and CTO, as well as a technicial advisor to the Board of Directors. In 2004 Opti-Script launched MT Audit Services, a professional services and software development company targeting healthcare that eventually was spun off into MT Platinum, Inc.
