● Established movement to create the world’s first World Health Organization (WHO) Global Roadmap for Meningitis. Member of WHO Technical Task Force involving WHO, PATH, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), PATH, US Centers for Disease Control (US CDC), UNICEF and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).● Led campaign that resulted in meningitis being included in WHO’s 5-year plan 2019-2023 for first time.● Led calls for and secured establishment of the world’s first Global Meningitis Genome Library and Global Meningitis Genome Partnership involving University of Oxford, University College London, Public Health England, US CDC, WHO and collaborating centres in Atlanta, Oslo and Paris, MRC-Gambia, the Wellcome Sanger Institute in Cambridge, and the South African National Institute for Communicable Diseases.● Initiated and established the Meningitis Progress Tracker reaching over 30,000 users in 70 countries in 12 months as the main global communication tool of progress against meningitis for the WHO global roadmap, working with Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation and WHO Maternal and Child Epidemiology Estimation (MCEE) group; and through a partnership with the Tableau Foundation US.● Oversaw new organization strategy, brand and website and delivered implementation through team of Directors.● Lead teams that reach 2.6 million web users each year (60% international, 40% UK); 120,000 Facebook users; newsletter subscribers in over 100 countries; award winning student fundraising team and communication campaigns.● Initiator of two global meetings of international experts and civil society at UK Foreign Office Executive Agency, Wilton Park, and experience of devising and chairing high level international meetings of experts including health economists from across Europe.● Extensive experience presenting to diverse audiences including at national and international scientific, public health and civil society conferences.

STAND was a consultancy I established to advise socially progressive people and organisations around the world about confidently connecting their strategy and activity. Clients included the African Center For Economic Transformation (Ghana) supporting the senior team through a 12-month strategic and structural review; mPowering Frontline Health Workers a USAID Global Development Alliance working to the Global Director providing strategy and fundraising consultancy (USA); University of Bristol Cabot Institute co-designing a programme to encourage needs-lead research reporting to the Professor; Anthony Nolan Trust supporting the senior management team to establish a supporter journey change programme; and Meningitis Research Foundation advising on strategy and fundraising for a health systems strengthening project in Malawi.

● Responsibility for all programmes, finance, operations, HR, engagement and communications including: the Global Humanitarian Assistance programme (GHA); aidinfo (working on aid transparency and access to information), a new office and programme in East Africa; Investments to End Poverty researching and analysing financial resource flows affecting poverty; and oversight of the Department for International Development (DFID) Programme Partnership Arrangement grant.● Supported Directors through development and implementation of new strategy.● Established new structure including a new Directors team working across UK and Africa.● Managed 70% growth of size of company to £4m turnover with 47 FTE’s.● Significant new grants or extensions secured from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and DFID.
