Scientific Officer (Microbiology and Histopathology)• Performing all clinical microbiology tests and task within boundaries of regulatory standards• Examine cells and microbiological cultures• Analyzing microbiological cultures grown from tissue samples, blood, body fluids, urine and stool samples• Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean and test sterility of medical laboratory equipment• Conducting biology and microbiological sample test• Examine the forms and structures of bodily organs and tissues by systematic observation, dissection and microscopic examination• Performing, documenting daily QC and maintenance of instruments to ensure accuracy and precision and per guidelines• Environmental sample analysis to detect pollutants• Preparing thin slices or sections cut and stained for microscopically examination.• Embed tissue samples• Routine H&E staining• Microtomy• Maintain laboratory equipment• Assist PA in gross room• Kept the gross room log• Perform special stains• Perform ihc on dako auto stainer • Manage specimen handling, receiving, storage, and disposal• Assist pathologist in frozen sections• Supervise laboratory when supervisor was away• File blocks and slides• Prepare cell blocks and non GYN thin preps from fluid cytology specimens.
