I had a challenging responsibility to manage KFC Bangalore at the time when “Yum” shut down KFC across Delhi. With no dedicated resource to assist in marketing, logistics etc..., the lone KFC store in Bangalore was driven to roadmap of success. Worked passionately to keep the core team together, this ensured KFC Bangalore tracked high on the Balance Score Card. Not surprisingly, customer service in Indian restaurant Industry was redefined. We as a team achieved tremendous success Year on Year. I would also like to highlight the fact that KFC enjoyed the success in-spite of menu fatigue. KFC, Bangalore was termed as a "Billion Dollar Store", thanks to the success it enjoyed year on year with customers flocking the restaurant time and time again. I was lucky to have been blessed with some quality training from Yum from time to time. In the year 2002, I represented Indian Sub Continent for the Restaurant General Manager convention at Kotakinabalu in Malaysia. It was during this convention, Yum Restaurant International decided to re-launch KFC in India.
