Below mentioned are my duties and roles onboard ship.• Responsible for the Supervision,safe/efficient operation and maintenance of all machinery(Steam Boiler,Thermal Boiler,Main Engine ,Auxillary Engine Generators,Pumps,Hydraulic Cranes,Hydraulic Valves,Framo Cargo pumping Systems,Air & A.C Compressors and electrical equipment onboard safely.• Adhered to budgets and purchasing procedures of the Company.• Ensured that the concept of safety and environmental excellence are fully understood and implemented by Engineer Officers and Crew onboard, through leadership and sound management practices.• Provided coaching and training, as required, to Engine Department crew-members.• Provided utmost assistance to the chief engineer for running the ship efficiently.• Maintained and updated documentation regarding the tools and equipment, and transactions necessary to the operation of the engine of the vessel.• Distributed and assigned duties to all the engine crew members and acts as supervisor tothem.• Carry out preventive maintenance of engine units of the department, including necessary repair works• Controlled of bunkering of the vessel.• Performed inventory check of spare parts and consumables.
