Cost Engineer
SBM Offshore is a global EPCI company head quartered in Monaco primarily focused on FPSO fleet operations and construction. The main execution centers are Monaco, Houston, Schiedam and Kuala Lumpur. We have the best swivel stack design and patents in the offshore buoys and turrets in the FPSO installations. We make other offshore installations such as FLNG, TLP and Semi-submersibles. We build these in yards subcontracted in Angola, Brazil, Singapore and China.I worked on a 1.2-billion dollar project for the engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of the Shell Stones "Turritella" FPSO. It is the world’s deepest FPSO ever built. This project was delivered in May 2017 to Shell. Assisted the project by monitoring the total project man-hours and closely monitoring them against FEED budgets. Document cost variances from FEED budgets related to procurement and site construction activities in coordination with the site cost engineering in Singapore and lead cost engineer in Houston. Subsequent to the Shell FPSO project, I worked on the ENI Allegheny Flex Bearing Project and most recently, the CNOOC Lingshui FEED. Daily tasks include reporting forecast variances, man-hour monitoring, and approving purchase requisitions in NADIA. Monthly tasks involve monthly budget variance report, percentage of completion report, and man-hour reports providing necessary explanation against the plan and budget. Contingency drawdown based on monthly Risk Evaluation and treatment. Monitoring and tracking changes through the MOC register and ensuring approvals from Clients.
Senior Cost Controls Analyst
With Nexen, as the Senior Cost Controls Analyst in Project Controls within Drilling and Completions team. Completed my initial assignment to the Green Canyon Subsea Tieback project in which two wells GC-137 #1 and GC-6 #1 were successfully brought back to production after Hurricane Ike toppled the host platform. Supported the Eugene Island 257 Sidetrack drilling project which was abandoned due to realignment of Nexen’s Operations strategy in the US.Key Activities:• Monitor and track cost creep based on project schedule and activity scope growth.• Follow up of Incurred Costs versus Budgetary Estimates (PAF) to evaluate the Estimated Final Cost (EFC) of various projects.• Liaise with Engineers to Prepare the Monthly Project Report.• Generate accurate Accrual reports based on Commitments and SAP reports.

Working at BP through SWIFT Technical Group and then through Orion Project Services for the Gulf of Mexico D&C Project Services Team as Drilling & Completions Cost Engineer for the Gulf of Mexico preparing Long Term Plans, Well Cost Profiles and Authorizations For Expenditure. Involved in Thunder Horse, Atlantis, Mad Dog Phase-2 and other exploration Projects.Key Activities:• Ensure accurate AFE in accordance with the Drilling Program and service contracts.• Monitor the Daily Drilling Cost in coordination with Rig Drilling Supervisor.• Follow up of Incurred Costs versus Budgetary Estimates to evaluate the Estimated Final Cost (EFC) of various wells.• Compiling yearly budgets and Long Term Plans for the Well Operations Department based on drilling schedule and depletion work plans.• Present and review the monthly forecasts with the Drilling Operations and Finance team.• Interface with Materials Management to forecast JV storehouse and Long Lead material.Key accomplishment:• Created a standardized automation tool in excel to help the monthly reporting process.
