To verify conformity of the material against purchase order, drawings, ASME codes / Standards & Client specification requirements of projects.To carry out material Inspection of Plates, Pipes, Pipe fittings, Forgings, Stud & bolt, Gaskets and Valves as per Code requirements & Client specifications. To review the material test certificates (MTC) for all chemical & mechanical properties, heat treatment requirements, non-destructive examination as per applicable client specification and material specification.Monitor storage and use of materials for designated applications on a project basis & check material element concentration (PMI Test) on spectrometerInterpret and understand technical drawings, Isometrics and geometrical tolerances.To carry out stage wise inspection (E.g: Weld preparation, fit up, dimensional check, cross verification of electrodes, welder identification, preheating, post weld heat treatment etc) as per Approved ITP, Customer Approved Drawing, Purchase Order & other Technical Specification.Witness and Preparation of welding procedure specification (WPS) and Procedure qualification record (PQR) as per ASME section IX.To witness and maintain Welders Qualification Test based on relevant codes and standards.Familiar with GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW Welding process. Quality Surveillance on welding (WPS, Welding parameters, preheating, interpass temperature, Welder identification, Filler metal, size of electrodes).Monitoring the welder's performance through repairs & controlling.Identifying the root causes of the welding related problems and taking the corrective and preventive action.Inspecting and witnessing of all NDT (PT, MPT and UT Witness, RT film Interpretation) based on ASME, client approved procedure and specification. Verifying and reviewing all NDT (PT, MPT, UT and RT) reports and documentation.Witness of Pressure tests (Hydro test, Pneumatic Test, Helium Leak test) as per client requirements and approved Procedures.

• Fit-up & visual inspection (Dimensional Check, Alignment, Weld Visual) of Vessels, Heat exchangers, Pipe spools (Carbon steel, Duplex SS, Super Duplex SS, Cu-Ni, GRE, Ti) and Pipe support as per GA / piping Isometric drawing (Weld Map) at fabrication and installation.• Involved in Line check, Hydro test, air blowing, flushing, chemical cleaning, reinstatement, bolt tightening, N2 leak test, Gross air leak test, N2 Blanketing and punch clearance.• Involved in hot tap, cold tap, and cold cut tie-in activities.• Preparation, review and approval of Test Packs with material and weld traceability.• Internal inspection of vessels horizontal / vertical equipments and check the internal attachment. Check internal cleanliness of vertical and horizontal vessel prior for equipment temporary or final box-up. Verify the final gasket to be installed during final box-up.• Checked external attachment such as platforms, ladders, support and instruments are installed and inspected. Inspection of final cleanliness before grouting and Bolt torque tightening inspection for platforms and ladders.• Final alignment of rotating equipments such as pumps, compressors, gear box, turbine, blowers, diesel engine and others• Radiography film interpretation of WQT, PQR coupons and production joints.• Analysis RT repair percentage every month and take necessary action to minimize that.• Monitoring NDE equipment’s calibration and periodic Verification Log.• Follow up all conventional (VI, RT, PT, MT & UT) & advanced NDT methods like IRIS, ECT, RFECT, MFL, TOFD and PAUT. • Ensure the results of quality inspections and non-conformances are registered and properly documented, remedial actions are defined, effectively implemented and closed out.

To receive test packages from sub-contractor and verify all documents against P&ID, ISO drawings and to identify the quality requirements, ensure the quality system is implemented, maintained, monitor in compliance with specification.To inspect the fabrication of Carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, super duplex piping spools and to oversee the QA/QC day-to-day activities like raw material verifications, structural’s and piping fit-up, visual inspection for weld joints, NDE activities documentation of marine and topside construction based on Isometric drawing.Inspection and monitoring of Piping fabrication & Installation of piping on main deck, tanks, Engine room, Pump room, Process modules and Turret piping.Review the piping test package and perform Line walk & raise / Close out punches in punch list based on (A / B / C) Categories Prior to Pressure testing.Prepare and submit the weld traceability for client review and approval.Witnessing Hydro test / Pneumatic test / helium leak test based on client requirements.Inspection of gaskets, supports, valves prior to line reinstatement acceptance as per the latest drawing for construction, codes and specification standards. Witness re-instatement line walk, mechanical completion, Flushing (water and hot oil) & Flange Management System.Performing piping walk down inspection and completing punch lists. Verifying that punch list items have been dealt with in accordance with the contractual arrangement.Co-ordination with the client/consultants to maintain the quality of the project towards the committed date.Perform final acceptance inspections of pipe lines and facilities for conformance to P&IDs, Piping isometric drawings, and client specs. Record results on Inspection checklists or other designated reporting formats.

 Carried out preliminary inspection of the tube sheet & channel cover and rectified as per recommendation in U-Tube heat exchanger. Inspection of Hydro-jetting / Air blowing of Vessels and Exchangers Inspection of Blinding and De-blinding of Valves before hydro testing. Inspection of Hydro-testing – Tube side and Shell side  Box up and De-blinding Certification Witnessed Hydro test and ensured leakages in heat exchangers. Pneumatic / visual inspection of all the expansion bellow convolutions in all air inlet/outlet headers. Inspected the vessel before loading of refractory balls and ensure the vessel is free of moisture content. Prepared documentation & Reporting to QC Manager.

• Ensure the results of quality inspections and non-conformances are registered and properly documented, remedial actions are defined, effectively implemented and closed out.• Liaise with site engineers, technical personnel and sub-contractor regarding technical issues, changes, additions and clarifications.• Review and comment on Technical Queries raised by Contractor.• Perform internal Audit as per the PQMP and close out external audit findings.• Site co ordination, /supervision, inspection planning, inspector location allocation.• Conduct weekly meetings with quality inspectors• Monitors and Reports Quality KPIs to measure and improve Quality Performance.  Raw materials Inspection carry out as per GRIR, along with Material test certificates as per ASME standards. To carry out Fit up & alignment, dimensional and visual inspection as per Quality plan (QAP), customer approved drawing, and TDC. Interpret drawings and geometrical tolerances. Verification of WPS, PQR & WPQR for Inspect Jobs. To carry out welding inspection as per NDT methods and its procedures. Prepare Material Attestation Form, stage wise Inspection documents, and painting documents for all the allotment Jobs.  Co-ordinate to IBR Inspector & Third party Inspector. Co- ordinate with production in charges, NDE departments and Welding technology departments. Daily monitoring electrode ovens and dehumidify room. Coordination with Customers, TPI’s like Lloyds, Bureau Veritas, TUV etc.Knowledge on codes & standards:• ASME SEC VIII DIV 1• ASME SEC IX ,• ASME SEC V.
