• Handling RemoteDBA operations and collaborating closely with the clients to evolve the Managed Services offering.• Onboard clients and Setup complete monitoring, Using automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet. Configure Nagios and Cacti.• Setup various types of backups for customers, Which includes Percona XtraBackup, MyDumper, Binary logs backup and Uploading GPG encrypted backups to offsite storage like S3 bucket.• Respond and Resolve the alerts received via pagers. Provide on-call support for 24x7 rotational shifts.• Work closely with clients on analysis, design, implementation, administration of database solutions. Help clients in DB Migration, Upgradation, Installation, Replica Setup etc.• Perform database audit with the written report.• Analyse client’s infrastructure, process and recommend best practices to clients.• Develop automation tools to easily carry out the day-to-day operations.• Document the client’s info, procedures on wiki pages.• Work in a distributed team, With rest of the team members from different time zones. Be accountable for all the tasks.

My day to day responsibilities and qualities includes• Perform health checks on client’s systems on regular basis and provide recommendations which include performance tuning, query optimization, upgrades, hardware, HA, backup and recovery etc.• Implement new monitoring checks based on client requirements. • Prepare client status and incident report, review client reports on a recurring basis. • Proactive monitoring to head off potential issues before they become incidents.
