My art career began in 1990 as an art handler in Florida, quickly progressing to become a traveling art rep in the Southeast. After moving to Atlanta in 1993, I met and married British artist Ruth Franklin, leading to the establishment of VINSONart in 1994. This partnership laid the foundation for my future endeavors in the art world.In 1998, we opened Vinson Gallery on the Decatur Square, showcasing both American and British artists. My business expanded to include art consulting services for various clients, a facet that has remained constant throughout my career. Although the gallery closed in 2008, I adapted by focusing on evidence-based art for healthcare facilities and cleared art for Georigia film and television productions.My artistic adventure continued with the co-founding of Different Trains Gallery in 2017 and a brief partnership at The Waddi gallery in Inman Park. Currently, we host quarterly exhibitions at Different Trains Gallery and are preparing to open The Sun ATL, a new art, business, and culture hub in Atlanta's Sweet Auburn Historic District, set to launch in September 2024.
