Work experience includes the creation and facilitation of the pilot program for in-class audience response evaluations using Turning Point software. Served as quartermaster aboard the U.S.S. Kearsarge and part of a team responsible for ensuring the safe and timely navigation of the ship. Key responsibilities included plotting relative bearing information as well as readings based on satellite waypoints and communicating this data to the navigation plotter in order to provide for the most accurate ship position. Deployed in the Persian Gulf from July to October of 2005 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In 2007 reassigned as a primary point of contact for the base legal office at Naval Station Everett. Position responsibilities included consulting with clients and verifying documentation to determine the appropriate legal services needed. Managed attorney calendars and scheduling of attorney time. Collected and classified documents to create case files. Created and implemented three new programs to improve the quality and efficiency of client relations and restructured the maintenance of over one hundred case files to improve overall office productivity. Trained and managed eight office personnel including the new office manager. Position required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
