I have over 25 years of experience in the Roofing industry. My role is primarily designing, preparing construction documents as well as project administration work for public and private projects. I have worked on various new construction projects involving BIM. I have conducted various types of roof surveys from obtaining roof cores, to leak detection for water infiltration into the building and IR surveys. I have performed roof condition assessments for evaluation of roofs for repairs or for reroofs, some of this work was post Harvey work. I have performed hail assessments as well as conducting IR surveys. I have performed field observations for various types of roofing projects under construction. I am knowledgeable about various roofing system from the older four ply gravel built-up roofs to the now common two ply modified bitumen hybrid systems. I have also worked a few of the old 'slope-up' Butler systems to double lok standing seam trapezoidal metal roof panels. I have recently be involved in numerous peer review projects for various roofing types and sheet metal drawings. My past experience while working for a contractor, I managed all aspects of the sheet metal production as well as supervised the warehouse and toolroom inventory. I prepared work orders and prepared all the components for the sheet metal installation of various components. I because familiar with the operation of the shear and the Auto Brake. While working for a contractor I also prepared all the roofing submittals and shop drawings and tapered insulation layouts for various roofing manufacturers from EPDM, PVC, BUR, Clay Tile, Metal Roofing to include historic restorations. I am a Registered Roof Consultant, a Registered Roof Observer and a Construction Data Technologist. I continue to endeavor to expand my knowledge of roofing and the building envelope.
