Create Birmingham's mission is to invest in economic development in the non-profit and commercial creative sectors. CO.STARTERS is an action-driven, collaborative process with a small and supportive group of like-minded people. During this ten week program, participants receive one-on-one time with the facilitators, support from Create Birmingham staff during and post-graduation, membership in the alumni network, and access to the CO.STARTERS Graduate Resources.

Named for the most important women in my life, my grandmother, my mother, my sister, and my daughters, Elynn&Rose honors and celebrates the journey that is womanhood and girlhood. It is our mission to create opportunities for women and girls through entrepreneurship, education, creation, and exploration.

Bib & Tucker Sew-Op is Birmingham's hub for sewing activities that promote empowerment, education, and economic opportunity. It is our mission to cultivate skills and community for those that sew or want to sew where everyone can be both a teacher and a student.Experience:-Developed and implemented strategies to further organization’s mission and vision-Directed and oversaw annual budget of $100,000 while generating $15,000 in revenue through fundraising and grant writing efforts-Set new records in program attendance resulting in a 15% increase in public interactions, while collaborating with more than thirty community partners

Our mission is to cultivate skills and community for those who sew or want to sew (ages 9-99) where everyone can be both a teacher and a student. Our vision is to facilitate a sewing based cottage industry that provides income and flexible working conditions for women who head their households.

• Provided on-site programming by orienting and leading school tours and groups, while assisting in the development and implementation of public programs• Provided customer service by assisting walk-in visitors, processing telephone calls and directing internal communications• Processed admissions, program and room reservations, and other sales using the Altru digital database

• Developed innovative approaches in implementing curriculum appropriate for first through third grade students• Taught in a classroom of thirty general education students as well as individuals with special needs and learning challenges • Managed and oversaw Ball State student volunteers and community volunteers for the Great Achievers Program

• Orchestrated and oversaw all activities pertaining to the campus visit of artist LaShawnda Crowe Storm to Bowling Green State University during the dates of February 5-6, 2015. • Facilitated partnerships between the Graduate Art Student Association and other academic departments on campus that led to an additional contribution of $1000.00 by these departments to the programming budget• Arranged to have artist LaShawnda Crowe Storm give an artist talk to the entire student body of a Toledo area high school

• Cataloged over one hundred fifty donated artworks within the gallery’s OnBase database• Curated an exhibition of works from BGSU’s permanent collection as part of a University wide collaborative program titled “The Identity Project.”• Worked alongside the gallery director in restructuring the gallery’s art loan program

• Selected amongst a group of over twenty Toledo area educators to travel to Hungary, Poland, and Greece with the purpose of conducting archival research on the lives of four Toledo, Ohio Holocaust survivors• Assisted in overseeing the grant budget in relation to travel and lodging expenses for the countries of Hungary and Poland• Acted as a liaison between members of the Fulbright commission in Hungary and the administrators of the BGSU Walking Witness Summer Institute

As the Curator Specialist for the Troy University Rosa Parks Museum I have acted as the liaison between artists and the museum while coordinating the installation of exhibits while developing and implementing marketing and publicity strategies for the museum. I am also responsible for organizing and overseeing public outreach programs for the museum.
