In this job, I help new students acclimate to life at Texas Tech University. When transferring to a new university, there is often a learning curve associated with both social and academic success. Texas Tech Transfer Ambassadors try to ease the transition and help students feel comfortable at a new institution. I served one year as a "Transfer Ambassador" before being promoted to "Lead Transfer Ambassador". In my job as a Lead, I do more of the back office work, including: planning events, creating and leading trainings for the Ambassadors, designing and executing large group retreats, assigning and monitoring a mentorship program, and presenting welcome presentations to 200+ students and their families.

In this position I assisted customers with any questions or additional assistance needed.I was able to further expand my interpersonal skills further through engaging with customers both on the sales floor and while at the register. Providing assistance in the training and growth of new employees, helped me develop positive work relationships. I engaged in sales leading on the floor, which enhanced the ability to create conversations as well as develop an ease for approaching people. While working in a demanding environment. I acquired advanced multi-tasking skills.
