Supported by the “Mitacs Globalink Research Fellowship”Project: Anode architecture design for solid state sodium batteries. Techniques involving in-situ/operando characterization to study the kinetic limitations of Na metal anode.

1. Solid-state, hydrothermal, solution-combustion, sol-gel synthesis of high voltage cobalt free cathode materials (LNMO, LFMO doped with halogens, NMC etc.,) followed by the preliminary electrochemical measurements (Cyclic voltammetry, Charge-discharge profiles).2. Solid-state synthesis and electrochemical characterisation of LTO anode material. 3. Electrolyte formulations to study the intricacies of high voltage cathode materials for Li-ion batteries.4. Proficient with battery analysis techniques (galvanostatic, potentiostatic charge-discharge, EIS, CV, GITT, 3- electrode, stack pressure measurements etc.,) as well as gained expertise in python and Matlab simulink.

1. Explored the interfacial phenomenon of lithium metal solid state batteries using LLZO as solid-ion conductor.2. Gained expertise in ceramic sintering process and the preparation of thin membranes.3. Performed material characterisation such as powder XRD, SEM, EDAX, TGA of the solid state ionic conductor. 4. Electrochemical measurements of Li|Li symmetric cells in a custom built Swagelok-type cell to study the electrode|electrolyte interface.5. Assisted a team of chemical engineers to build a CSTR reactor for the mass scale synthesis of cathode materials.

1. Worked on the synthesis and material characterisation of ZnO nanoparticles for water treatment.
