Hi! My summary is a bit unusual, as it is the third time I’m changing my career path. Firstly, after graduation in 2011 I found a job as an Engineer in the Institute of Water and Colloidal Chemistry. It was an interesting and extremely challenging job. Two years later I had to quit because of health conditions related to chemical influence on my body. I didn't really know what to do next as my education and job experience became useless. I took CCNA certification, some web development courses, but it wasn’t right for me. I've got high grades, but no satisfaction. Sometime later I took QA courses. I liked this kind of job and became a Test Engineer. I liked the possibility to work in teams with people who are on the same page. I enjoyed helping to keep quality standards, educate developers about quality, communicate with customers, product owners and other team members, and, of course, I tested software, a lot. I have 6 years of experience, and I worked with major buzzword tools and technologies (Scala, Java, Groovy, Bash, CI/CD (Jenkins), Selenium Web Driver, Git, Jira, SQL/NoSQL DBs).But all these years I was passionate about Data. I didn't really know what to do with my passion, but finally I found out about Data Science. I became a mother and at the same time I had to quit my lovely job at SAP in Germany, because my family moved to the US. I started to value every single minute of my free time. I asked myself questions and I started my journey into a new career. I took some Berkley courses (CS61a, Data 8), learned statistics, linear algebra and probability theory, I read some articles and books about Data Science, I took some free intro courses on Kaggle and finally, I found a complete guide into a new (for me) world of Data - Google Data Analytics Certification. I’ve completed 3 out of 8 courses, and I don’t plan to give up!
