(Project Awarded by Scialog Advanced Bioimaging Conference)- Performed acoustic wave propagation simulations, time reversal image reconstructions, and image quality parameter assessments using k-Wave MATLAB Toolbox to identify most suitable transducer geometry for placental imaging applications to facilitate the early detection of preeclampsia. (Project funded by CELT Summer Undergraduate Research Award)- Developed IACUC approved protocols for animal imaging, mouse dissections and tissue mimicking phantom preparations. - Designed and prototyped an optic bench compatible ultrasound probe arm with two degrees of motion using SolidWorks and the Ultimaker 3D printer to facilitate Ultrasound coupled Photoacoustic imaging of placental tissue samples.
