Dr. Vireak Khloth Chea is co-founder & CEO of PillTech - a digital marketplace connecting pharmaceutical suppliers to pharmacy owners in Cambodia. He's working on improving Cambodia's pharmaceutical distribution networks by creating a platform to help improve medication safety and reducing counterfeit drugs available in the market. He is a certified pharmacist from California with a Doctor of Pharmacy from the Pacific University Oregon School of Pharmacy. Before this, he was CEO of his family business Community Pharmacy, a partner pharmacy with Makro (Cambodia), which generated a total revenue of $2 million in 2020. Prior to Cambodia, he has worked a total of 15 years at Walgreens started as a cashier, intern, pharmacist, then pharmacy manager. In Cambodia, he helped built a family chain drug store in the past 8 years. Overall, he understands clearly the pain points from pharmacy owners which puts him in the best position to help lead and solve this fragmented pharmaceutical distribution sector. His long term goal is to get every mom and pop drug stores in Cambodia to purchase their drugs digitally through PillTech by 2025.
