I am currently the president of Milaap (an Indian Student Organization), where my duties have sharpened my leadership and communication skills by which to become a more compassionate collaborative leader and team player. I have also learned to organize disparate tasks in the context of time management.

• Manufacturing Pitch-Based Carbon Fiber - Manufacturing low cost carbon fiber from coal-tar pitch precursor using melt spinning method.- Demonstrating adaptability in a systematic study involving thermal processes such as stabilization, carbonization and graphitization to achieve high quality carbon fiber.- Organizing the implementation of carbon fibers along with a polymer matrix to benefit the automotive and aerospace industry.- Leading a team of two undergraduate students with effective written and oral communication skills.• Synthesizing Liquid Crystalline Elastomers - Synthesizing an advanced polymeric material, liquid crystalline elastomer (LCE), which displays rubbery mechanical behavior while possessing physical properties that change significantly with the change of temperature due to liquid crystalline phase transition. - Manufacturing both solid and porous LCE’s with required mechanical properties for biomedical applications.

• Designing Designed and developed mechanical equipment such as a drop tester and an impact tester to measure the energy absorbed by the material after the impact. Utilized problem solving skills to design complex structures and create individual components and assemblies in SolidWorks. • 3D Printing 3D printed multifaceted shapes and geometries using Stereo-Lithography (SLA) and the Direct Laser Projection (DLP) method. Synthesized preceramic polymer resin that was 3D printed and then pyrolyzed to form a ceramic structure. • Thiol-ene and Thiol Acrylate Polymer for Surface CoatingUtilized problem solving skills and designed experiments to develop a tailorable thiol-ene and thiol-acrylate polymer for surface coating application with tailorable mechanical properties.

Organized volunteers depending on their skill sets.Successfully managed large events attended by nearly five hundred community members.

• Supported the team with the design and development of raw materials of steel, according to the costumer’s architectural need. Inspected, assisted and managed inventory.
