Managed a results-oriented human services planning and delivery system in metropolitan Omaha for community impact, and manages staff and volunteers.Fund Distribution: Streamlined annual fund distribution ($11 million) with 50% reduction of staff resources, directed outcome standards review, and coordinated the implementation and development of accountability metrics. Led increased data management efficiency for grant reviews through use of web based software.Planning: Directed key community impact activities: Older Adult, Three International Initiatives (International Center, Ready by Five, and Project Bridge), and Financial Stability Partnership in order to positively influence community conditions. Strategies include asset development for working familie: Earned Income Tax Credit program, financial education for area employee groups, and Individual Development Accounts; creation of multi-service center for immigrants, preparation of immigrant children and parents for kindergarten, re-certification of immigrants for health care professions; developed senior services network and the initiation of age-friendly neighborhoods program; and guided formation of two new initiatives: Youth Transitioning to Adulthood and Minority Behavioral Health. Partnered with the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce staff to create the Omaha Workforce Development Collaborative and newly created Heartland Workforce Solutions.Research: Created annual Greater Omaha Human Care Profile © (annual publication of human care data of metro area), and directed community assessments, primary research, surveys, and application of census data for area community organizations.Grant Development and Donor Designation: Coordinated grant development for community impact initiatives and donor designation program. (Our department secured multi-year grants and in-kind contributions exceeding $500,000.

Directed fund distribution, coordinated community problem solving processes, directed the Food Center, established a new Court Ordered Service Program, provided the Management Assistance Program (agency staff/volunteer training, and managed staff and volunteer leaders. Initiated formal program outcome measurement and administered new campaign accounts and the federal and state employee annual fund campaigns. Provided training for strategic planning for organizations such as Catholic Charities which included the Archbishop as an active participant.

Served as interim director (consultation basis) for a New Jersey association: managed budget, encouraged public policy discussion, and staffed the creation of their strategic plan.

Administered the agency's functions: annual fund campaign, grant distribution, endowment program, community problem solving, government relations, communications, marketing, and management of staff and volunteer leaders. Major accomplishments: initiated planned giving, introduced $10,000-plus givers group, and upgraded billing and collection procedures.
