Learned the importance of being able to run and multi-task in a fast paced environment. A terribly complex and yet simple construct for a business. Loved every minute of it.

Learned the ins and outs in the mortgage industry. Became very acquainted with Excel and the value of being precise and informed when speaking to clients. It was nice to help people find a home or reduce their mortgage payment.

Drove around and assisted my good friend U.S. congressman Van Hillary while he ran for Governor. It was a wonderful way to walk up and talk to anyone and engage in a conversation. Van Hillary lost the closest Tennessee governor's race in Tennessee history.

Learned the importance of being prompt and how hard servers worked. I learned to always leave a tip when I eat. Servers depend on that money to either get through college or feed their families. Learned how to work in a fast paced industry and manage personalities as well.

Was recognized as a hard worker and promoted to head lifeguard. Duties were delegating jobs, creating schedules, handling the money, and picking up the slack where needed. Contact and interaction with the public were also critical.

Great way to get started working. I was paid $4.81 an hour and thought I was paid too much. I loved it!

Learned to work with others and how a large operation worked. The lights, the camera, and the grips were interesting to watch how everything flowed together. It was very interesting.
